Our History
Los Alamitos Youth Football & Cheer has served the families of Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach and surrounding communities for decades. What started as a small neighborhood tackle program is now one of the Orange Empire Conference's longest-running youth organizations — fielding Griffins football teams and cheer squads for thousands of local kids.
Youth tackle football in Los Alamitos began as a community volunteer effort on the fields around Los Alamitos High School — still our home field today.
Through the 2010s the Griffins competed under the American Youth Football banner, growing to full tackle divisions from Jr. Clinic through Midget alongside competition cheer squads.
Clinic Red, Clinic Blue, Jr. Pee Wee Blue, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget and Midget teams carried the Griffins name across Orange County each fall.
Now a proud member of Pop Warner Little Scholars and the OEC, running age-based unlimited-weight divisions 6U–14U and cheer from Jr. Tiny Mite through Varsity — same volunteer families, same home field, same scholastics-first commitment.

Alumni & Community
Generations of Los Alamitos players came through the Griffins program before suiting up for Los Alamitos High School — including athletes who went on to play college football. Our coaches and board are parents and alumni of the program, and every fall the same families return to run registration, the snack bar and game days.
